About Shandong University of North Sichuan Medical College
North Sichuan Medical College is a provincial medical school located in Nanchong city,
Sichuan Province, China. Founded in 1951 as North Sichuan School of Medicine in southwest
region of China, the school was renamed North Sichuan Medical College in 1985. North Sichuan
Medical College (NSMC) is a government-run college of medicine in Sichuan Province and is
located in the second largest higher education center of Sichuan Province, — Nanchong, a
famous city, the origin of the Three Kingdoms Culture.
NSMC has its national and international enrollment; its two campuses enroll nearly 15,000
students in undergraduate and postgraduate program. With the guidance of its motto,
Commitment, Fraternity, Honesty, and Creativity, it has developed into an important national
and provincial center of higher medical education, disease prevention, and rheumatism
treatment since its establishment in 1951. Its two campuses occupy an area of over 823,693
square meters. The west campus, also known as the old campus, is located in the downtown
Nanchong City, and the east campus, or the new campus, is located in Gaoping District of
Nanchong City.
