Patilwith the blessings of Honorable Dr. D. Y. Patil, Founder President. The institute is further nurtured and progressed under the dynamic leadership of ProChancellor, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Hon’ble(Mrs) Dr. Bhagyashree Patil.
Since its inception, the Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre has made its mark as an “Institute of Excellence”. Today, it is recognized as a Renowned Teaching and Research Institution in the Country. It has received recognition from the National Medical Commission, New Delhi. The Institute initially started with MBBS Programme (UG) with an intake of 100 seats. It has expanded further with 250 MBBS seats, 220 MD & MS (PG) seats, 30 M.Ch / D.M (Superspeciality) seats, MPH programme in one subject, Msc Programme in 4 subjects, FellowshipCourses in 24 subjects, PhD Courses in all medical subjects, Certificate Courses in 8 subjects and Short TermTraining Programmes (STTP) in 12 subjects within a short span of 27 years.
