It is acknowledged as one of the best Medical Colleges in Egypt. Tanta University Faculty of Medicine is officially managed by President Mahmoud Zaki and Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim led a dynamic team of excellent academic staff and over 132788 students which comprise of 11% PG students and 89% UG students. Moreover, the most probable analysis of the previous year’s classroom is about 3644 students with females 44% occupancy.
The huge Tanta University was first started in 1962 with the faculty of Medicine only. Later, it made many developments and became an independent University named the University of Middle Delta in 1972 which gives a full range of academic specialties in areas of Medicine, Science, Agriculture, and Education. The Middle Delta named was changed to Tanta University in 1973.
